The ideal patients for the All-on-4 dental implant procedure are those who are missing most or all of their teeth. There are age restrictions as long as the patient is in good health.
All-on-4 is a relatively new technology. New technologies within the dental industry typically provide decreased chair time, more savings compared to traditional techniques, and quicker healing time. All-on-4 is no exception, and patients can expect these mentioned advantages.
The first step is a consultation with our periodontist. Once we find you are a good candidate for the procedure, we will schedule an appointment for surgery. Surgery can last as long as 2 hours per arch.
Once the surgery is complete, you'll need time to heal. A temporary set of teeth are placed on your implants right after surgery. This will allow you to heal and proceed with your normal daily activities. Post-operative instructions will be offered to help you heal and reduce any discomfort. Once the healing process is complete, your permanent teeth will be placed at a follow-up visit about six months after surgery.
